Warren Buffet definitely had and continues to have great good fortune - mainly because he believes he is lucky. Born in the year of the Horse into a good solid middle class American family, Warren Buffet considers himself lucky just to be living in America, a place he considers he is lucky just to be living in America, a place he considers to be the best place on earth to be a thinking investing capitalist.
He believes in making money; believes in good management, in finding value in companies. He makes no secret of his beliefs, expounding theories on how he picks and chooses the companies to invest in, something he does so successfully that it has made him America's third richest individual.

As we write this, news comes of the impending public listing of FACEBOOK the world's largest, most successful social networking site that has swept its all-powerful magic across the globe - a listing that is expected to raise so many billions and billions of dollars for the company, and for its 27-year-old Founder - just the thought of it is mind-boggling.
Initial estimates puts a 28.4 billion dollar value on the shares he currently owns, making his net worth higher than that of the two GOOGLE co-founders. By any standards, he is a very wealthy man indeed, but it looks like Mark Zuckerberg is only just getting started.
He has designed the public offering to raise maximum funds for FACEBOOK's ambitious expansion program, but he has also made very sure that the influx of funds is happening without him giving up any control whatsoever of the company. He plans to stay totally in charge of the social networking site.

People who use Gmail and Facebook can already see evidence of Sheryl Sandberg's managerial brilliance transforming FACEBOOK into a super powerhouse of productivity and connectivity... even as GOOGLE appears to be floundering. So it's not just the double O then... it surely has to be a very special kind of luck?
